Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the provision of mobile mechanic services ("Services") by MCUBEDAUTO ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By scheduling or using our services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any services.

2. Service Area

MCUBEDAUTO provides mobile mechanic services within Portland and surrounding areas. If your location falls outside our designated service area, additional travel fees may apply, and services may be limited.

3. Scope of Services

MCUBEDAUTO provides a wide range of automotive repair and maintenance services. The specific services, estimated costs, and timelines will be communicated to the customer in advance of the appointment. All service recommendations made by MCUBEDAUTO are based on the information provided by the customer and the mechanic's on-site inspection.

4. Booking and Payment Terms

Booking: Appointments must be scheduled in advance, either via our website or phone. Services are subject to availability and confirmed only when you receive a booking confirmation.

Deposit: A 50% deposit is required before the commencement of any work. Payments are processed through an invoice system, and the deposit must be received before services begin.

Final Payment: The remaining balance is due within 30 days after the job is completed. Failure to make the final payment within the 30-day window may result in additional fees or legal action.

Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other digital payment methods as specified at the time of booking. Cash payments are not accepted.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellation: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. If you cancel the service, only 40% of your deposit will be refunded, with 10% retained as a cancellation fee.

Rescheduling: You may reschedule an appointment by notifying us at least 24 hours in advance. We will accommodate the change subject to availability.

6. Service Guarantee and Warranty

3-Month Guarantee: All work performed by MCUBEDAUTO is covered by a 3-month service guarantee. If the same issue arises within three months of the initial repair or maintenance, we will return to fix the problem free of charge.

Warranty Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover:

  • Issues unrelated to the work performed
  • Wear-and-tear parts (e.g., brake pads, tires, fluids)
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or failure to follow maintenance guidelines
  • Repairs performed by third parties after our service
  • Extreme weather-related damages, such as flooding, freezing, or salt corrosion

MCUBEDAUTO is not responsible for additional damage or costs arising from the customer's failure to address recommendations or ongoing issues in a timely manner.

7. Liability

Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for providing accurate information about the vehicle and its condition prior to the service. Any misrepresentation or omission of relevant information may result in additional charges or the termination of services.

Damage During Service: MCUBEDAUTO takes great care when performing services. However, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage to the vehicle or underlying issues not addressed at the time of service
  • Damage caused by defective parts or components not installed by MCUBEDAUTO
  • Vehicle failure resulting from continued use of the car despite recommendations to cease operation

Safety Precautions: The customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is parked in a safe and accessible location for service. MCUBEDAUTO reserves the right to decline service if the location presents a risk to safety.

8. Parts and Third-Party Components

Customer-Supplied Parts: If the customer provides their own parts for the service, MCUBEDAUTO is not responsible for the performance or warranty of those parts. Any issues resulting from faulty or incompatible customer-supplied parts will not be covered under our service guarantee.

Parts Warranty: Any parts provided by MCUBEDAUTO as part of the service will be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable.

9. Emergencies and Unforeseen Circumstances

MCUBEDAUTO is not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to unforeseen events such as severe weather, accidents, equipment failure, or any other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will communicate the delay and reschedule the service as soon as possible.

10. Customer Conduct

Customers must treat the mechanic with respect and professionalism. Harassment, abuse, or unsafe conditions will result in the immediate termination of the service, and any payments made up to that point will be forfeited.

11. Right to Refuse Service

MCUBEDAUTO reserves the right to refuse service to any customer for any reason, including but not limited to unsafe work environments, inappropriate customer conduct, or lack of necessary equipment to complete the job safely.

12. Termination of Services

MCUBEDAUTO may terminate or suspend services at its sole discretion for failure to comply with these Terms, failure to make payments, or if it becomes apparent that the service cannot be completed safely or satisfactorily due to unforeseen circumstances or customer-provided information.

13. Indemnity

By using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCUBEDAUTO and its mechanic from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of improper vehicle maintenance, failure to follow mechanic recommendations, or misuse of the vehicle after service completion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the state of Oregon. Any disputes arising from the services provided by MCUBEDAUTO will be resolved in the appropriate courts of Oregon.

15. Changes to Terms

MCUBEDAUTO reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.
